The siglum is known to the card index from a dozen or so other cards, there is no expansion for it and I do not supply one. Here without a full stop after the siglum („MP-”). It does not enter the reckoning of hearths, in accordance with the practice of the village files so far. It is worth noting that MP, O83 and T89 speak of the STAROSTY (klucz) of Wiszniów, while T90 speaks of the LEASEHOLD „Wiśniów.” — I do not reconcile the two forms.

note: An extract under a siglum from outside the list of sources, without a single figure of hearths and without a single person — it does not enter the reckoning of hearths, just as the Ls.89 at Baranek (cards 1)–313) and at Kot Wiśniowski (card), the Ls.79 at Dębowierzchy (card 3) and the Lsp 89 at Trzebieszów (cards 2)–131). The siglum is written without a space, with full stops: „Ls.89.” (on card 2) „Ls. 89”, on card 2) „Ls.89”, on card 3) „Ls.79”). The abbreviation for the village is the bare „w.” with a full stop (at Karcze, card 2), the same abbreviation has a dot over the „s”: „wś.”). The first line ends with a stroke after „wiszniowskiego”. THIS EXTRACT GIVES NEITHER HEARTHS, NOR HOUSEHOLDERS, NOR ANY ESTABLISHMENT — unlike the Ls.79 of Dębowierzchy („brow. karcz. osiadłości gosp. 12”) and the Ls89 of Karcze („gospodarzy 6”); the description is confined to the land, the forest and the meadows. AN UNCERTAIN WORD: the word before „niema” I read as „boru”, but I do not hold the reading to be resolved. (2) the widths of the last two characters agree to the pixel with the „r” and the „u” in the word „grunt” from the same line; (3) above the word there is no diacritical mark whatever (checked on the line profile), which rules out „ó”, and below the line of writing there is no descender, which rules out „y”; (4) the formula „lasu niema, tylko zarośla i chrósty” from the Ls.89 of Baranek (card) sets a genitive singular in this place. Against: under fourteenfold magnification the penultimate character has two peaks, and the last one arch with a long horizontal exit, which can also be read as „-ne”; the writing „borów” (without the stroke over the „o”) is therefore just as possible. The sense of the sentence is the same in either case: there is no forest in the village. TEXT CUT OFF: the second line breaks off at the word „zaroś…” at the right-hand edge — of the continuation (probably „zarośla/zarośle” and possibly one word more) THERE IS NONE, and I do not supply it. The third line begins with „łąki”, so between „zaroś…” and „łąki” one or two words may have been lost. The spelling „grondowe” as on the card (cf. „grondowiznie” in the Ls.79 of Dębowierzchy, card 3).

A characterization of the village, not a list of hearths. The number in brackets I read as the Roman „IX”, as at the other villages. O83 gives no forename for the prince — the surname alone remains; „książę” I enter in the status (just as „ksiądz” at Ługi Wielkie), and both starosties in the office, literally after the card. The words „klucz wiszniowski” are underlined with a long straight stroke and added after a semicolon at the end of the line. The adjective I read as „wiszniowski” (not „wiśniowski”): after „wi” stands a letter with a distinct descender below the line of writing, that is a „z”; the same form returns in T89 and MP on this card. In the line of T90 (blue ink) the same name has the form „Wiśniów.” — without a descender, with a dot over the „s”; I do not smooth the difference away.
