SELECTED ENTRIES FROM THE JASIŃSKI GOLDEN BOOK (the entries were written by those taking part in the First Jasiński Family Reunion)

HERE IS THE GOLDEN BOOK

of the Great Jasiński Family Reunion

in the ancestral village of Jasionka

on 21 July 2007.

Dear Relatives and Friends,

you who are taking part in this Reunion,

who have made your way here because your hearts told you to.

Though you are scattered across Poland and the world,

write on the pages of this GOLDEN BOOK

what you have noticed and what you have felt,

so that one day, many years from now,

we may have something to look back on.

That there was a day like this, a day of great feeling,

a day when wings grew at our shoulders!

We felt how long we have lasted in this soil,

we knew where our roots lay!

So that the memory of this day may remain,

so that our young people may recall it,

write down in the BOOK whatever comes to mind!

Be inventive! Be bold!

3.I am here with my husband Stanisław Maciejczyk, our children and our grandchildren, who belong to branch C-3. With this entry – in lasting memory of that beautiful day, 21 July 2007 – I wish to record this beautiful gathering at the First Jasiński Family Reunion.

27.I was the modest person who recorded and wrote down all the work of organising the Family Reunion, and who, by the duty entrusted to me and the office I held, took part in that work from December 2005. And today I see our plans, our intentions, even our dreams coming true.

71.Our work, the work of the Founding Group set up on 30 October 2005 to publish a Book describing the history of the Jasiński family and to hold a Family Reunion – IS COMING TRUE TODAY!!! Everything we dreamed of and everything we planned – IS HAPPENING!!! The summer weather is beautiful. The reunion ground is beautifully placed; and here are the COUSINS, more than 1000 (a thousand!) of them. Wonderful people, deeply moved by the celebration, rejoicing with all their hearts. They tell us organisers so, they thank us, they are keenly interested in Jasionka, the village "their family came from". The programme is running as planned, though about half an hour behind. We rejoice together with the author of the Family Book, the chairman of our Founding Group, and with his deputies. We rejoice with all the cousins who have come to the Reunion. We thank God, whose blessing we are experiencing in a way we can plainly see.
