What the compiler noted beside the entry itself, and what the table above does not show:

  • T75 — The register of 1775 runs across TWO cards: entries 1-8 on card 1 (f. 642) under the heading „T75 - Gołaszyn dymy:”, entries 9-21 and the total on card 2 (f. 643) under the siglum „T75 (c.d.)”. The number of hearths stands in the right-hand column; at the entries where it is written out in words it reads „dymów 9”, „dym 1”, at the rest it is replaced by a repetition mark ("). ARITHMETICAL CHECK: card 1 — 9+7+1+2+1+1+1+1 = 23; card 2 — 1+1+2+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1+1 = 14; together 23+14 = 37, and the card gives „Ogółem : 37.” with the figure underlined twice — IT AGREES to the single hearth. This reckoning settled two doubts of reading: (a) that entry 4 and entry 11 (both „Wojciecha Gołaskiego … 2”) are two separate entries and not one repeated by mistake; (b) that in entry 2 the correction „Antoniego” holds and not the struck-out „2-ch Woyciechów” — otherwise there would be eight persons to seven hearths. The register breaks the BUILDINGS down nowhere except at entry 21 (an empty cottage), and so the the breakdown of buildings field stands there alone. The words „browar”, „karczma” and „propinacja” DO NOT FALL EVEN ONCE in T75.
  • T89 — the whole extract fits on one card (647); after the total „Razem 27 d.” the card adds the cross-reference „zob. Ławki;” — the holding of Baltazar Jasiński, which T90 reckons at 8 hearths, is not under Gołaszyn in T89, hence the lower total. The entries are not numbered; the the entry number numbering is mine, in the order of the lines.
  • T₀89 — A list of possessors of holdings of 1789, without hearths — a continuous numbering 1–33 across three cards (card 7): 1–11, card 8): 12–24, card 9): 25–33) plus one unnumbered line at the end of card 9). The card gives no total. THERE IS NO GREAT BRACE with the vertical inscription „nie wysiewają 10 korcy” ON THESE THREE CARDS: the addition stands beside single lines, once written out in full („nie wysiewa 10 korcy”, „nie wys. 10 kor.”), and at those following rendered by the word „podobnież”. The total „Razem - 37 dymów.-” is given only by card 5) and it covers both cards; I therefore keep both runs in one record, and the the card field carries the assignment of an entry to a card. The reckoning: 8+4+1+1+1 = 15 (card 4) and 1+1+1+2+2+2+1+12 = 22 (card 5), together 37 — in agreement with the card.
  • S87 — The 1787 census in a single line, at the very top of card 1 (f. 642), to the left of the cartographic note V48. The siglum is written as an „S” with the subscript „87”. After the siglum there is NO repeated name of the village (unlike in many other villages of the card index) — the figures follow at once: „84 l. + 9 ż: razem 93 l.”. CHECK: 84 + 9 = 93, and the card itself gives „razem 93 l.” and underlines that figure — it agrees. The card names no dissenters, and so the number of dissenters remains empty. Gołaszyn belongs to the parish of ŁUKÓW, while the transcribed printed edition of Fr. B.
