Offices: Bachmiński (captain of the National Cavalry (rotmistrz kawalerii narodowej); Ośmiatowski Grzegorz (civil-military commissioner of Łuków (komisarz cywilno-wojskowy łukowski)
Propination, inns, breweries: Bachmiński (brewery, inn)
More than five hearths in one hand: Bachmiński (30); Ośmiatowski Grzegorz (30)
Extracts from outside the registers
Records under sigla which the card index does not expand. They give no hearths, so they enter no total.
MPcard 2)MP – Strzyzow – par. Trzebieszów – królewszczyzna;
note: A one-line note. THE PARISH: „par. Trzebieszów” — the reading confirmed under magnification (5×), the word unambiguous. This stands in contradiction with the parish column of the heading of all three cards of the village („Łuków”). I do not smooth the discrepancy away; in the data of the village the parish of Łuków remains (following the heading of the card index and the absence of Strzyżew from the printed list of the parish of Trzebieszów 1787 — `kumor1787.json`).
Ls.89card 2)Ls.89. wś: za przywilejem posiada Ignacy Bachminski pułkownik wojsk kor. Karczma, grunt po części dobry, po części niski i sapowaty, pastwiska i łąki błotne, wkoło wielos=to, i zarośla, las sosnowy mierny, w którym drzewina do budowli zdatna, ale więcej młodej i skrzeko=watej – ku granicy wsi Sokuła jest kawał lasu, w którym osina, leszczyna, grabina
note: A lustration description of the land and the forests, without hearths. THREE UNCERTAIN PLACES: (1) the first word of the second line I read as „Karczma” — [READING UNCERTAIN]; a single 6× magnification gave a sequence of letters ending in „-ma”, but it does not settle the middle („rcz” or „wer”). For „karczma”, the inn, speaks the T89 on the same card, where the inn is named outright, and the usual order of a lustration description. In accordance with the rule I do not give this word as certain. (2) „wkoło wielos=to” — a word broken between the lines, I do not resolve it [reading uncertain]. (3) „skrzeko=watej” [reading uncertain]; „krzakowatej” is possible. The word „drzewina” stands at a break of the lines („…w którym drzewi- / -na do budowli zdatna”) [reading uncertain]. A topographical mention: the boundary with the village of Sokuła (Sokule).
St.89card 3)St.89 – Strzyzow wś J. K. Mci – do dzierżawy strzyżowskiej w pos. Bachminskiego, pułkown. wojsk. kor. 129 l. kat. (68 m., 61 k.); w tym gosp: (23 m., 22 k., 21 syn do l. 15, 4 syn. od l. 15, 18 cór.); komornicy czyli z wyrobku żyjący: (3 m., 6 k., 4 syn do l. 15); krawiec: (1 m., 1 k., syn do l. 15 – 1, cór. 1); szewc: (1 m., 1 k.); zdun: (1 m., 1 k., 1 syn do l. 15, 2 cór.); służący: (8 m., 9 k.);
note: THE READING IS CONFIRMED BY THE RECKONING — it required no second examination. The card declares 129 l. kat. (68 m., 61 k.); the groups as set out give exactly that: householders 23+22+21+4+18 = 88, cottars 3+6+4 = 13, a tailor 4, a shoemaker 2, a stove-setter 5, servants 17 → together 129; separately men 48+7+2+1+2+8 = 68, women 40+6+2+1+3+9 = 61. The reckoning confirms the reading „krawiec”, a tailor (and not „browar”, a brewery), as well: the three craftsmen of St.89 — a tailor, a shoemaker, a stove-setter — answer to the „3 dymom rzemieślniczym”, the 3 craftsmen's hearths, of the T89 register on card 2). The card gives no forename for Bachmiński (the forename Ignacy is given by the Ls.89 on card 2). This figure (129 Catholics in 1789) is not the same as the S87 (183 l. + 12 ż. = 195 in 1787) — a different year and a different scope.
spellings on the cards: Strzyżew, Strzyzow, Strzyżewa

Without an extract for 1794 — no card of this village carries that tariff. It is a missing extract in the card index, not a gap in the numbering of the cards.
The card-index entries
Every extract for this locality in the wording of the cards, year by year. One block is one occurrence: this person, in this year. At a collective item the same card text stands beside every person named — because the card names them together and they must not be separated. The hearths given at a collective item are an equal division among those named, not a reading.

THE READING IS CONFIRMED BY THE RECKONING: 1 manor house + 1 brewery + 1 inn + 22 cottages + 2 cottages + 3 craftsmen's hearths = 30, and that is what the card declares. The words „brow.” (a brewery) and „karczma” (an inn) stand beside each other, written cleanly, without corrections — the reading is certain. The „3 dymy rzemieślnicze” find confirmation in St.89 on card 3), where exactly three craftsmen are named: a tailor, a shoemaker and a stove-setter.
the card gives neither the forename nor the title in this line; the struck-out interlinear addition above the line read „(pułk. wojsk koronnych”

The whole village in one hand — one entry of 30 hearths, and that is what the card gives as its total („30 dymów wiejskich 2giej klasy”, underlined). The card notes that to the lease of Strzyżew belongs Strzyżew alone.
the card writes „Grzegorza Osmia- / towskiego”, with a diacritic above the „s” — the form „Ośmiatowski” has been adopted; the sign above the „s” itself [reading uncertain], „Osmiatowski” is also possible. The surname checked at one magnification of 4×.

a characterization of the village, without hearths; the card gives no forename here (Ignacy — from Ls.89 on card 2). O83 styles him captain of the national cavalry (rotmistrz kawalerji narodowej), Ls.89 and St.89 colonel of the Crown army (pułkownik wojsk koronnych).
