Wojciech Radzikowski; and against the same and the well-born (Gen.) Jakub Radzikowski – for the seizure and mortgaging of the manorial and dwelling buildings, their devastation and the allowing of them to fall into ruin, and for the wrongs and damages arising therefrom – they choose and appoint as arbiter and highest judge (umpire, superarbiter) the magnificent (Magn.) Jan Franciszek Jezierski, sword-bearer of the Liw land, clerk of the Łuków castle court.
He is to come down to the estates of the village of Radzików Wielki on the 8th day of April of the present year 1743, together with the Gentlemen Arbiters – two named by each side – having full liberty and absolute power: to make a division of the estates between the litigating parties, to pronounce upon the seizure of the estates and to enjoin [their return] upon whomever it is due; to examine and determine the hereditary rights; to enjoin the production of the documents (muniments) by him whom it concerns; to liquidate the sums taken by either party or by its predecessors or successors, and to lay the charge of them upon him whom it concerns; to enjoin repair and to prevent further destruction; to examine the lawfulness of the claims to the land and to moderate the parties; and finally – should it be needful – to conduct inquisitions, to issue interrogatories for the parties, to adjudge them and to ordain and determine such other things as the matter requires. The parties shall be bound to submit to the decision of the magnificent (Magn.) Umpire and of the Gentlemen Arbiters, and to that they bind themselves – under the land-law penalties and the forum of the present office.

Głuchowski and Izdebski – for the suit and official action brought and lodged with the present office on account of acts of violence, attempts and the infliction of wounds, and likewise for the protestation with an inspection of wounds, for the relations, for whatsoever decrees, for the condemnations handed down at the peremptory term and their executions, as also for the penalties and marks adjudged both for the wounds and for the transgressions;
– and the nobles (Nob.) Głuchowski and Izdebski to the said Michał Soszyński – for whatsoever manifestations made against him;
and moreover both parties mutually for all and each of the claims arising up to this day, leaving nothing untouched and excepting nothing – and this by reason of the amicable settlement concluded between them and of the satisfaction rendered according to the tenor of the composition (komplanacja).
The protestations, the relations, all the decrees together with their enforcement clauses, the condemnations and their executions, and the whole process – in accordance with the composition concluded between them – they cancel.

notes and marginalia The entry records a dispute in which on the one side stand a nobleman remaining in service (famulus) and a Jewish tavern lessee. The description of Berko's lease („Maioris villae arendator”) has been read with uncertainty – probably Radzików Wielki is meant. All the persons agree with the PTG tags for scan 165 (among them „Berko Ankielowicz” and „Adam Cybulski”). In the manuscript the surname of Adam Cybulski, entered earlier by mistake, is struck out.
