„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

notes and marginalia The persons and the villages of Tchórzew Plewki and Tchórzew Rogale agree with the PTG tags for scan 150. The measure „sulcus tricubitalis” – a three-cubit strip – is a rarely met designation of the breadth of a strip in this register.

Sarnecki for the protestation made before the present records on the Monday, on the very day of the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord in the year 1742 against those same Tchórzewskis, together with the claims specified in it, and for the relation on that account entered before those same records on the Monday after the feast of the Conversion of St Paul the Apostle of the present year; moreover for the condemnation obtained in the starosta's courts held here at Łuków and for the right of executing it; and the nobles (Nob.) Tchórzewski, husband and wife, likewise for the protestation made against the said well-born (Gen.) Sarnecki at the term and for the relation by virtue of it, entered on the Friday after the feast of the Circumcision of the Lord in their own name and in the name of their servants, and for the entry pending in the registers – by reason of the amicable settlement concluded between them and of the satisfaction shown; and the protestations, the relations and the condemnations indicated above they cancel.

[Autograph signature:] Daniel Sarnecki; the rest unlettered.

notes and marginalia All three dates tally in the calendar: 1 January 1742 (the Circumcision of the Lord) fell on a Monday, 28 January 1743 is the Monday after the Conversion of St Paul, and 4 January 1743 – the Friday after the Circumcision. The persons agree with the PTG tags for scan 150. The mention of the „famuli” (the servants) on the Tchórzewski side is a rare trace of manorial service in this register.
