notes and marginalia The entry begins at the foot of f. 107r (scan 110) and ends at the top of scan 111. The entry is of particular interest: the object of the mortgage is two peasant subjects together with their families, their stock and their whole holding, valued together at 1000 złp. The name of the second village is an uncertain reading. The persons agree with the tags for scan 110. **A revision of the reading („olim” instead of „et”).** The original translation read the word before the father's given name as „et” and made Fabian the **son** of Kazimierz. In this chancery the abbreviation **„ol.” (olim)** is written as an „o” with a struck-through stem and deceptively resembles „et”; the grammatical case decides it — the genitive with „filio” means **„synowi [kogoś]”** (to the son of someone), not „i synowi” (and to the son). The direction of the filiation is confirmed by entries 1723, 1734, 1735 and 1850, where Fabian's father, Kazimierz Mysłowski, appears as deceased. The pattern was checked against the manuscript: entry 246 (scan 56-043, „Antonio Domaszowski … **Casimiri filio**”) and entry 302 (scan 56-051, „Stephano Jasienski **ol. N. Pauli filio**”).

notes and marginalia The third mortgage of that day in favour of the same three Przygodzki (cf. 1193, 1194) – the brother and sisters buy up in a single day mortgages in three different hands. The takers were marked by the clerk with „Eisdem” (to those same) alone, without the surnames being repeated; the identification with the Przygodzki follows from the arrangement of the entries. The cognomen „Dobros” is confirmed by entry 1197, where „Jakub Rozwadowski zwany Dobros” occurs. The clause „de triennio ad triennium” (from one three-year term to another) – a rarer variety of the renewable mortgage term. Several names of baulks and roads have been read with uncertainty. Marcjan Domański, Józef Dąbrowski and Kazimierz Domański are not in the PTG tags for scan 57-025 – the discrepancy has been noted.
