The date verified: the Circumcision of Our Lord, 1 January 1744, fell on a Wednesday, and the morrow was Thursday 2 January 1744. The decree comes from the session of the courts of the office's suits of 4 February 1743 – the same from which quittances were given in the preceding volumes (entries 995, 1000, 1002, 1005, 1016). The sum is given in struck thalers (7 imperials = 56 złp at the rate of 8 złp). notes and marginalia Verified: the feast of SS Fabian and Sebastian, 20 January 1744, fell on a Monday. The name of the river has been read on the scan: „ad fluvium Kanna”. The given names of Hiacynt Leszczyński, Jan Leszczyński and Teodor Szaniawski are not in the PTG tags for scan 57-006 (the tags note Jakub and Kazimierz Leszczyński Sobiechowicz) – the discrepancy has been noted; Andrzej and Tomasz Celiński and the village of Leszczanka agree with the tags. **A revision of the reading („olim” instead of „et”).** The original translation read the word standing before the father's name as „et” and made Andrzej the **son** of Tomasz. In this chancery the abbreviation **„ol.” (olim)** is written as an „o” with a stroke through the shaft and is deceptively like „et”; the grammatical case decides — the genitive with „filio” means **„synowi [kogoś]”**, not „i synowi”. The direction of the filiation is confirmed by entry 829 („Andrzej Celiński, syn Tomasza”). The pattern has been checked against the manuscript: entry 246 (scan 56-043, „Antonio Domaszowski … **Casimiri filio**”) and entry 302 (scan 56-051, „Stephano Jasienski **ol. N. Pauli filio**”).
