„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

The religious (Relig.) in Christ Father Franciszek Ksawery of St Stephen, of the Congregation of the Pious Schools (the Piarists) of the Łuków college, son of the late well-born (Gen.) Franciszek Górski, begotten of the late well-born (Gen.) Krystyna Bielska, being in religion, with the present consent of his superior – Father Kazimierz of St Alexis, rector of the Łuków college of the Pious Schools – granted for the acts described below, being of sound mind and body, deposed that the original deed of donation together with the cession, made by him to the person of the well-born (Gen.) Maciej Górski, his brother german, before the records of the Liw castle starosty on the Wednesday next after the feast of St Prisca Virgin and Martyr in the Year of Our Lord 1729, and likewise the supplementary deed, made and deposed before the present records on the Saturday after Laetare Sunday in Lent of the past year 1742 in favour of the said well-born (Gen.) Maciej Górski, his brother – he approves, confirms and ratifies in all their conditions, points, clauses, articles, bonds and securities, willing and declaring that they shall have force and validity. Moreover, he withdraws from and renounces the whole substance, paternal, maternal and inherited, movable and immovable, delivering it into the hands of the said well-born (Gen.) Maciej Górski, his brother, and of his succession, for all time – by means of the present deposition.

notes and marginalia Signatures: „Franciscus a S. Stephano” and the superior's consent „Casimirus a S. Alexio”. The rector of the college appears solely under his religious name (Fr. Kazimierz of St Alexis) – the manuscript does not give his secular surname, hence the empty surname field in the index of persons.
