„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

notes and marginalia The date of the cession verified: the vigil of the Nativity of St John the Baptist 1738 fell on a Monday, but the manuscript gives „Feria Quarta in Crastino” – that is Wednesday 25 June 1738, and so it has been taken. Jakub Żarniak with his wife and his son Tomasz, and likewise Stanisław Szostek with his wife and his sons: Andrzej, a fugitive, and Józef, who remains with him – settled in the estate of Kornica Rzążew, and now, by virtue of the delivery made, remaining in the possession of the magnificent (Magn.) and very reverend (Adm. Rev.) Andrzej Cieciszewski, canon of Chełm, parish priest of Trzebieszów, and acquired by that same man by hereditary right from the magnificent (Magn.) [Autograph signature, in block letters:] MATEWSZ KOBYLENSKI

notes and marginalia The PTG tags for scan 157 name Ignacy Cieszkowski and Ignacy Olędzki separately – the manuscript confirms that these are two different persons: Cieszkowski is the donee, Olędzki the seller. The title of Cieszkowski's starosty is written across the join of two lines at a fold of the leaf and is legible only in part („Capit. …szczelovien”) – [uncertain reading]. At the end of the entry a passage is struck through and illegible. The date of the acquisition verified: 7 September 1743 was a Saturday, the vigil of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary.
