Kowiecki

Dear reader, remember that this is an AI study, that it may contain errors; treat it as indicative and verify it for yourself.
„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

The nobles (Nob.) Jan and Wojciech Kowiecki, further Grzegorz and Marcin Borkowski, and also Wojciech Borkowski, likewise Jan Nowosielski and Wojciech Krasuski, being of sound mind and body, deposed that they give a quittance to the noble (Nob.) Adam Jastrzębski, son of the late noble (Nob.) Aleksander, and to his successors – for the seven marks, further for the penalty and payment (luita) of three Polish marks, adjudged by a decree of condescension issued by the present office upon the ground of the estate of Borki Sokuły on the Thursday, on the very day of the feast of the Presentation of the Most Blessed Virgin Mary in the Year of Our Lord 1743 [21 November 1743], between the deponents on the one side and the party quitted on the other, and lodged with the records of the present office by way of oblation on the Friday after the feast of St Andrew the Apostle of that same year [6 December 1743] – they give a quittance, and the enforcement clause of that same decree, as far as the said marks are concerned, they cancel.
notes and marginalia Both dates verified: the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, 21 November 1743, fell on a Thursday; the Friday after St Andrew's (30 November 1743, a Saturday) was 6 December 1743. The name of the village in the manuscript is „Borki Sokoły/Sokuły”, while the PTG tag for scan 166 gives „Sokule”. All the persons agree with the tags.
