Majewski

The well-born (Gen.) Jakub Turski, instigator of the [castle court – the name an uncertain reading] office, son of the late well-born (Gen.) Piotr Turski, begotten of the late noble (Nob.) Marianna Szaniawska, though sick in body yet sound in mind, openly, freely and expressly deposed that to the well-born (Gen.) Krzysztof Turski, his brother german, and Agata née Majewska, his wife, that is to the spouses of one another, and to their successors, he gives and donates his maternal and paternal estate, that is his whole and entire inheritance share – in the plots, the arable, the fields, all the edifices upon them, the gardens, orchards, fields, meadows, woods, forests, groves, rivers and streams, and likewise with the subject gardeners together with their wives, children, cattle and swine, and with all the other appurtenances and appendages of those estates – lying in the hereditary estates of the villages of Szaniawy Matysy and Gzary, keeping and reserving to himself a life estate, with every right; he consented to intromission forthwith and promised warranty. And this under the land-law penalties and the present forum.

Having appeared in person before the present castle court records of Łuków, the well-born (Gen.) Stanisław Majewski – appointed special attorney of the illustrious (Illustr.) Anna of Brzezie, by her first marriage wife of the illustrious (Illustr.) Andrzej of Dąbrowica Firlej, castellan of Kamieniec, and by her second marriage the widow left by the late illustrious (Illustr.) Józef Walenty Kalinowski, standard-bearer of the Halicz land, before the Lublin castle court records on the Saturday after the feast of the Three Kings in the Year of Our Lord one thousand seven hundred and forty-two, and brought in for the acts described below – on the one side; and the magnificent (Magn.) Józef Kajetan, of two given names, Leszczyc Pankraczewicz Grabianka, hunter of Halicz, standard-bearer of the armoured banner of the illustrious (Illustr.) Rudziński, castellan of Czersk, first colonel of His Royal Majesty and of the Commonwealth, on the other side – being of sound mind and body and withdrawing, deposed: that a certain contract, or rather a marriage contract, drawn up between the illustrious (Illustr.) Kalinowska, wife of the standard-bearer of the Halicz land, on the one part, and the magnificent (Magn.) Józef Kajetan Grabianka, hunter of Halicz, that is the deponent himself, on the other part, in the palace of Radzyń [uncertain reading] on the second day of the month of May of the current year 1743, secured by a penalty of three hundred thousand Polish złoty, signed in the hands of the contracting parties and of the illustrious (Illustr.) friends and provided with noble seals – they approve in everything, and they strengthen and approve it; and this under a like penalty of three hundred thousand Polish złoty, appointing the forum of the court of the Lublin Crown Tribunal for answering. The well-born (Gen.) Majewski deposes in the name of his principal, for whose ratification he stands surety.
