„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

localities in the entry Gorzno (the village estate with its appurtenances), the Sandomierz voivodeship, the Stężyca land

Having appeared in person before the present castle court records of Łuków, the well-born (Gen.) Wawrzyniec Rzewuski Wolski, son of the late well-born (Gen.) Mikołaj Rzewuski Wolski, chamberlain of the Mielnik land, and of Zofia Zyrzyńska, born of the late well-born (Gen.) Leżyńska, being of sound mind and body and withdrawing, deposed that to the well-born (Gen.) Piotr Antoni Paskudzki, son of the late well-born (Gen.) Tomasz Paskudzki, begotten with the late well-born (Gen.) Anna Rzewuska Wolska, sister german [to his mother], and his own nephew (sister's son), and to his successors – his hereditary estates, that is two whole and entire inheritance shares (parts), devolved upon him by natural right after the late well-born (Gen.) Zyrzyńska née Leżyńska, his grandmother, and falling to him as against all the donees and the other co-successors – that is in the plots, buildings, all edifices, manor farms, manor houses, gardens, orchards, bees and apiaries, arable, fields, meadows, woods, forests, groves, oak woods, thickets, brushwood, lakes, marshes, rivers, streams, and likewise in the ponds, fishponds, mills and millers together with their measures, taverns and taverners, as also in the subjects, cottagers, gardeners and lodgers with their wives, children, oxen, cattle and swine, together with all their household implements, in the day-labours, watches, tributes, dues and all the services rendered by them by ancient custom, and likewise in the arable, fields and meadows held and possessed by them, and in everything else belonging and adjacent to those estates – reserving and excepting nothing for himself or for his successors, but as widely, as long and as far around as those estates stood and stand within their baulks and boundaries, lying and situated in the hereditary estate of the village of Gorzno with its appurtenances and others, in the Sandomierz voivodeship and in the Stężyca land, with everything – he gives and donates. Intromission forthwith, of civil right; and this under the land-law penalties, appointing the forum of the Stężyca castle court office for answering.

notes and marginalia A noble entry with the full formula for landed estates (manor farm, subjects, mills, taverns). Beside the father's surname one word has been struck out. A DISCREPANCY WITH THE PTG TAGS: the tag gives „Zofia Leżyńska pv Zyrzyńska sv Rzewuska”, that is one woman with two marriages. A second, careful reading of scan 072 does not confirm this and points to TWO GENERATIONS. Three places in the text decide the matter: (1) „ex Sophia Zyrzynska ex olim G. Leżynska procreatus filius” – Zofia bears the surname Zyrzyńska and was born of a Leżyńska, and so Leżyńska is her mother and not her maiden surname; (2) „post Gsam de Leżynskie Zyrzynska AVIAM SUAM devoluta” – the word „aviam” (grandmother) is read unambiguously, not „matrem”; (3) the description „de Leżyńskie Zyrzyńska” denotes a woman née Leżyńska married to a Zyrzyński – that is precisely Zofia's mother. All three places form one coherent sequence: the grandmother (Zyrzyńska née Leżyńska) → the mother (Zofia Zyrzyńska) → the deponent (Wawrzyniec Rzewuski Wolski). Had one person been meant, the source would have used the formula „primo voto / secundo voto”, which is not there. The father's office is read again as „Camerarius Mielnicensis” – chamberlain of the Mielnik land. The other persons and the village of Gorzno agree with the tags.
