The magnificent (Magn.) Józef Laskowski, son begotten of the late magnificent (Magn.) Stanisław Laskowski, tribune of the Stężyca land, with the late magnificent (Magn.) Joanna Stoińska, being of sound mind and body, deposed that to the magnificent (Magn.) Hilaria née Laskowska — by her first marriage the wife of the late magnificent (Magn.) Stanisław Treter, and now by her second the wife of the magnificent (Magn.) Wiktor Aleksander z Cieszkowa Cieszkowski, clerk of the land and castle court of Liw, his sister german — and to her successors, the part falling to him of the sum of eleven thousand Polish złoty, first and originally inscribed by the late illustrious (Illustr.) Zygmunt Parys, castellan of Czersk [uncertain reading], before the Stężyca castle court records on the Friday after the feast of St Valentine the Martyr in the Year of Our Lord 1646 to the magnificent (Magn.) Helena z Lasków Leżeńska, huntress of Lublin, his great-grandmother [in the source: quartae aviae suae], by title of a simple debt, and warranted and secured upon the estates: the village of Kozłów together with the manor farms situated there, upon the villages of Górki Gołe Łąki in their entirety, as also upon half of the town of Parysów — and falling to him by divine and natural right through succession, and concerning him as against the other co-successors; together likewise with the interest due upon that same principal sum, as also with the whole process, by whatsoever collations it may have been carried on, and interrupted by the death of the late magnificent (Magn.) Stanisław Laskowski, tribune of Stężyca; finally together with the inscription itself, with its warranty and eviction, with its penalties, securities and conditions — retaining nothing for himself or for his successors, he yields up and withdraws; and his whole and unimpaired right, both as to the principal sum and as to the interest, charged upon the estates of Kozłów and Parysów in the manner described above, he transfers, conveys and incorporates in its entirety by the present right in the above respect — inasmuch as both of them are grandchildren [descendants] of the magnificent (Magn.) Helena z Lasków, by her first marriage the wife of the late magnificent (Magn.) Marcin Leżeński, hunter of Lublin, and by her second of the late illustrious (Illustr.) Zygmunt z Parysowa Parys, castellan of Czersk.

notes and marginalia The largest sum noted so far in the 1744 volume: 11,000 złp, inscribed as long ago as 1646 and inherited for close upon a hundred years. The date of the original inscription has been reckoned: the Friday after St Valentine's 1646 = 16 February 1646 (a Friday) – it agrees. The designation of the degree of kinship („quartae aviae suae”) has been rendered as „prababka” (great-grandmother), but the number of generations is given in the source by an ordinal numeral and remains ambiguous [the reading certain, the interpretation uncertain]. The office of Zygmunt Parys („Castellano Cer…”) breaks off at the spine of the binding – it has been supplied as „czerski” (of Czersk) on the strength of the repetition of that same title at the close of the entry. The persons agree with the PTG tags for scan 57-019 (the tag gives the form of the given name „Wiktor Aleksander”, the manuscript „Victorinus Alexander” – the reading of the tag has been adopted).
