An analysis of the notarial deeds of Łuków and Siedlce
In the notarial deeds study, under the Summary tab, there is an analysis of the whole collection: more than 48 000 deeds of fourteen notaries from 1810–1855. It shows what people came to the notary for, how this changed over time under the influence of the law, the structure of estates among the parties, the share of women and Jews, the occupations and offices named in the deeds and where the parties came from.
The analysis also shows the limits of the source: those who went to a notary had something to dispose of, and most deeds are known only from their heading in the registers of the notarial offices.
The marriage register of the parish of Zbuczyn from 1727–1748 is now in the parish registers study in full. On the timeline in the Sources section the registers of Zbuczyn and Trzebieszów share one row, which expands into the individual registers when clicked; it shows the gap in the Zbuczyn registers between 1748 and 1777.
