„Persons (different given names)” means: different combinations of a given name with a byname, not persons proved to have existed. Two namesakes from one family merge here into a single item, and the acts give nothing to tell them apart. An entry naming several families stands beside each of them — because the record names them together, and they must not be separated.

The well-born (Gen.) Józef Nieprzecki, special attorney of the magnificent (Magn.) Jan z Wielkich Dziedoszyc [of Śnitków – uncertain reading] Dzieduszycki, standard-bearer of Trembowla, colonel of the Crown troops, being of sound mind and body, deposed that he gives a quittance to the venerable (Ven.) father in Christ Kazimierz of St Alexius, rector of the Łuków college of the Pious Schools (the Piarists), and to that whole college – for the sum of twenty-one thousand Polish złoty, deposed by them and lodged in the sequestration of the present office, and lodged likewise by a preceding manifestation, made before the present records on the Tuesday after the feast of St Michael the Archangel of the present year [1 October 1743], and by an earlier receipt in that same Łuków college, and now in fact and effectually taken up – and that manifestation he cancels.

[Autograph signature:] Josephus Nieprzecki mp

notes and marginalia The date of the manifestation verified: St Michael the Archangel, 29 September 1743, fell on a Sunday, and the Tuesday after it was 1 October 1743. The amount of the sum („viginti unius mille florenorum Polonicalium”) has been read as 21,000 złp – the highest amount in this part of the register; [uncertain reading] as to the number of thousands. The rector of the college is the same Father Kazimierz of St Alexius as in entry 164 (March 1743): the religious appears solely under his name in religion. Dzieduszycki's territorial cognomen („in Śnitków”) has been read with uncertainty; the PTG tag for scan 161 gives „Jan Dziedoszycki” and the place „Dziedoszyce Wielkie”.
